This shampoo is concentrated,so it makes so much lather. This is a plus because many organic shampoos don’t make much lather. And I need very little amount of shampoo for my short hair. The shampoo is good for daily use. It gives no volume to my hair, but it is okay. Anyway it cleans very well and it’s mostly organic that is very important for me. I don’t use shampoo with sulphates, that’s why I choose this shampoo. My wife loves it too. And I like the design of a bottle, very cool, reminds me vintage stuff! Maybe this shampoo won’t be suitable for everyone, because it doesn’t make volume or some special effect. But it is vey good shampoo and smells nice. You should try it for sure!

I am a huge fan of iHerb, a website that sells high quality nutrition supplements and personal care products at a great price. I therefore jumped at the chance to try their Madre Labs Thickening Shampoo. A bottle of Madre Labs Thickening Shampoo was provided by iHerb free of charge for my honest review. I have been using it for 2 weeks.
I have thin, fly away hair, and have tried many thickening shampoos. Madre Labs is one of the best that I have tried. My hair was noticeably thicker and shiny after the first use, not stiff and dull as has happened with some other brands. It has a pleasant, subtle orange smell. The lather is thick and creamy, it rinses out completely, with no tangles. My hair has had body and been easy to style. I recommend this shampoo for others with fine, thin hair.

This product worked as well as Avalon Organics, Thickening Shampoo, Biotin B-Complex Therapy on my hair – my hair was very soft and ‘felt thicker’ after rinsing and after drying there was a noticeable increase in the volume. I am very pleased with this product and will alternate back and forth with the Avalon Biotin B-Complex.

I like the shampoo so much, my hair used to fall down a lot after using this shampoo with the conditioner ( not the same brand) my hair stopped falling i finished two bottles and i ordered another two am recommending all my family to use this shampoo, i also liked the smell.

The best shampoo for a weak hair! I didn`t get such brilliant results with any volumerizer. And it has absolutely gorgeous aroma. Everything perfect.

I have oily scalp and fine, dry and damaged hair. I used to rebond my hair a lot for many years, which severely damaged my hair. My scalp was extremely oily too, to the point that it would start to smell bad after just 36 hours of washing. My hair was also dropping so much that I started to see bald spots!
This shampoo has fixed all my problems! My scalp is not as oily as it used to be, and I can now go up to 4 days between washes. My hair looks fuller and growing a lot faster too. This shampoo is also mild enough to be used daily on my fine and dry hair.

I have thin, oily, straight hair- but not when I use this shampoo! If I were able to post before and after pics, you would be amazed, but I cannot, so you will just have to trust me.

I love the fact that it is affordable, pH balanced, eco-friendly, cruelty-free, and smells nice. It is thicker than many of the other shampoos I have used so I was excited right from the beginning.

I have referred my friends to try this as well and hope they do. It cleans well, does not leave a residue, but does not dry out the hair nor leave it sticky or tacky. I find that just about every natural product has some downside for my hair.

I cannot say enough great things about this shampoo, other than I have never ever been this excited about a shampoo before!

I do notice a difference in the clarity of my roots with this product – my hair is soft and lush after washing. I think the quality of this product is great for the price. I say it is the middle of the road because I haven’t noticed any difference in the texture/softness of my curls or a decrease in the split ends.

Shampoo does what it claims. Can be too drying for colour treated hair. Works best for oily hair/scalp.

I was surprised, as it really made my hair light and fluffy (long hair) after first time of use Has citrus smell and foams very well. Usually my hair is heavy, but that shampoo did what it supposed to, hair is thick and light, will buy more!

Really good shampoo, i absolutely love fresh citrus scent – sooo delicious! I could say it is a deep cleansing shampoo – makes your hair really-really clean! Hair is super soft, clean and shiny after use, i recommend! I also wish they could have the same hair conditioner!!

the smell is very nice. this is the only pros i find in the shampoo.
after washing my hair with this conditioner, my scalp can itch for days. very terrible itch.
i might be allergic to it.
my bf uses it and experience the same itch.
his scalp starts to be flaky with dandruff.

Nice scent on this citrus shampoo. Not sure if it’s really thickening, but the hair feels nice after washing.

I’m an African American with 4c curly natural hair. This is the worst shampoo I’ve ever used it tangled and knotted my hair so bad. I spent hours trying the desperate my hair just to braid it until it gets dry because while it was wet it kept breaking. The next morning I spent hours trying to detangle and seperate my hair with the least amount of breakage I had to go to the store and find something to help detangle my hair this was a nightmare experience I will never buy or recommend this product.

I wrote a review in February saying it left my scalp itchy. For months afterwards, there were only one or two other reviews, including one from a user in Singapore. Suddenly, the first page and a half of comments are filled with lengthy, over-effusive reviews saying how wonderful,stupendous and amazing this shampoo is. A little suspicious??????
I’m mostly very happy with my iherb purchases, particularly as I work overseas and can’t read the labels on the bottles here. I’m glad iherb exists.
(Leaves hair in good condition while effectively cleaning oily roots. I’m just wondering if anyone else gets an itchy scalp after using it a few times. We’ve had an extremely cold winter, and I’ve been rinsing with very hot water, so that might have something to do with it – I don’t want to blame it on the shampoo if there’s another cause.)

Its one of the best shampoo out there for oily scalp. Smell refreshing and cleanses very well. It leaves your hair and scalp feeling oil-free. However, if you’re an individual with dry scalp or washes your hair very often, this product might strip your scalp’s natural defense. So use it sparingly.

Though I shampoo twice a week, my hair does not get greasy and weighed down the days in between washes. Overall, I’ve found nothing of complaint. I have fine, thin hair and I had thought that shampoo couldn’t do much about that. I really just purchased this to make up the free shipping to Australia but I have been pleasantly surprised. My hair looks so much fuller after using this shampoo, and it smells great. If you suffer from hair loss from hormones or thyroid problems then nutrition should be your first port of call, changing my diet has helped my hair stop falling out and start growing back after 20 years of problems. Making huge changes to your diet is really difficult but you can do it and it works. But this shampoo does help and every little bit counts when you are dealing with this horror.

finally I found my holy grail shampoo after a long search and experiments with different shampoos. this shampoo cleans my scalp and gives volume to my silky hair. amazing.

After having tried a Giovanni shampoo for thin hair bought on the site, I got quite sceptical. However, this one from Madre Labs turned out to be a really good one for my thin hair. After it the hair seems and feels so nice ! Totally reccomend!

Good decent size bottle. Shampoo itself doesn’t smell too bad, it’s not unpleasant. I used about the size of a quarter and found it lathers up really well and easily. It cleans, but perhaps too much – is there such a thing? I have normal-dry treated hair and felt as think this shampoo would be better suited to someone with oily hair as it seemed to dry my hair. Definitely need a conditioner with this and I am surprised Madre Labs hasn’t produced a matching conditioner to go with this shampoo.
Along with this shampoo I used:
Desert Essence, Conditioner, Coconut, 8 fl oz (237 ml)
Aura Cacia, Organic, Argan Oil, 1 fl oz (30 ml)

And my hair looks clean and nourished.

I have an oily scalp , the first 2 weeks of using this product was good, it doesn’t make my hair dry or frizzly BUT AFTER THAT VERY VERY VEERY LARGE AMOUNT Of MY HAIR FELL OUT!! I thought l have an anemia I didn’t know that problem is from this shampoo!
I’m really not recommend this product.
