Many companies do NOT use Bisphenol A-free plastic containers when store coconut oil and that pose a problem with leaching these kind of chemicals because they are fat soluble. ‘Garden of Life’ offers his virgin coconut oil in a glass container on acceptable price. The only problem is the weight of the item for international customers.

On Products-With-Reviews page, I have more reviews of other products I have bought and used. Cosmopolitan magazine recently quoted the Australian SUPERMODEL MIRANDA KERR (wife of actor Orlando Bloom) as saying that coconut oil was the key to her clear skin, lustrous hair and svelte figure. “I’ve been drinking it since I was 14 and it’s the one thing I can’t live without,” quotes Cosmo. “I will not go a day without coconut oil. I personally take four tablespoons per day, either on my salads, in my cooking or in my cups of green tea.” I use it for cooking and also apply it on hair and skin. Result? Delicious meal, shiny hair, smooth skin and weight loss.

I have been buying this for years. I have never seen this so bad before…The jar I received last week, upon taking out one scoop I saw what looked like tainted product, sort of contaminated looking. So I scooped out a couple spoonfuls off top of product, and found two sections of discolored areas, dirty looking in nature, sort of like a pnch of motor oil mixed in and as I scooped further, a sort of crazing pattern emerged in the lower portions. I have seen other discoloration of this product before but not this dark and in huge areas. Anyway iherb wanted photos, so I proceeded to burn up an hour of my time trying to photograph white stuff… looking into the jar, and was not that successful. Then I decided I would try to slow melt the bad portions to see what would emerge, and what I found was that there was two larger chunks of product with a higher melting point (they refused to melt at the same temperature as the white oil). So I can only conclude that the discoloration is actually, a filler oil of some kind. I still like the taste of this product, but purity is now in question. I will have to use this big jar now (as I cannot prove my claim to iherb without a clear photo) as body oil and I don’t feel like eating it. If you find your product discolored know that iherb will want proof in a photo and its pretty hard to photograph white stuff inside a jar. So I would suggest you go with a different brand just incase.

This coconut oil tastes great, lots of coconut flavor. I leave at room temp & spread on sprouted bread or put it in the fridge and slice a piece and eat like a candy bar.

I used this VCO when I came down with a cold (or flu not sure) and it nuked the symptoms right away. It’s also an anti-fungal so if I eat too much I get die-off reaction but this is gentler than anti-candida pills and works just as well or better.

VCO is also said to be great for thyroid function &, being a saturated fat, it’s also anabolic and lipolytic, meaning it helps burn body fat & build muscle without exercising. (At least it does me, due to muscle memory from back when I used to be a gym rat). 100% natural & organic, nothing added, comes in a glass jar so no plastic leaching into our OEVCO. An all around winner and I love it at room temperature, or cold and hard small bite size pieces after refrigeration: it reminds me of the inside of an Almond Joy bar!

I use the oil for my skin and gave some to my grandmother who has Psoriasis and it does work as a good lotion for skin. My grandmother seemed to like it, it helped with scab production.

I bought this one because it’s in a glass container, it’s extra virgin and organic and because I was impressed with the good reviews. I’m less impressed with the flavor, aroma and texture, which are only average. The Philippine coconut oil I’m getting at my local health food shop is definitely nicer.

I haven’t tried this with cooking.
I use it on my hair sometimes after showering. Coconut oil is not a protein, but can help hold proteins in your hair. It’s good with scalp massages too! Coconut oil is comedogenic so I don’t use it on my face, but it makes a great body oil–softened my feet right up! The only thing you have to be careful with is if you take the oil out of the jar with your fingers, it will begin to smell rancid, so use a clean spoon everytime!

I love this product and especially enjoy it on toast with my favorite organic cherry jelly. Has a lovely, slightly coconuty fragrance. I don’t even care much for coconut, but I love this!

I cut butter out of my diet years ago. It was just too costly in the calorie department. I missed the texture and flavor but never looked back. Now I have something that totally satifies that desire for fat and moisture without putting on pounds. This stuff is delicious. I am so grateful for a healthy, tasty fat substitute!

I like this one. The price is 1/3 of the price you have to pay in Norway, and the quality is good. It comes in a glass jar, which I like, but that makes the weight of the order get a little high – but I still prefer the glass jar. Will buy it again.

Very nice, relatively mild flavor. I use a tablespoon in a smoothie, and I also fry with.

I use this wonderful oil for frying and as a spread on cheese bread toast. Love it!

This is the best coconut oil…no aftertaste, very good in all the recipes I’ve used it in.

If you want coconut oil that actually tastes like coconut, this is the one to buy. I once ordered a case of another brand of coconut oil and it had zero coconut taste, it just tasted like lard! This is delicious coconut oil that is sweet and melt in your mouth good.

I use this oil every day for cooking, baking and even as moisturizer for my skin. I love it! I love the light coconut smell.

I bought Garden of Life because of all the good reviews. I have tried Nutiva and EfaGold Coconut Oil as well. The coconut taste in Garden of Life is the mildest of the 3. EfaGold has the strongest coconut fragrance. The only reason for me buying Garden of Life is because it is contained in a glass bottle but the price is also higher.

I’m a longtime user of coconut oil and a first-time user of Garden of Life’s product. The quality and taste are very good.

I like this product, but I prefer Nutiva’s coconut oil to this product. I feel, Nutiva’s is thicker than this product.

It gives you energy, read about how it’s a great anti viral for colds/flu’s as well so taking a teaspoon every other day for now to see how it effects me.

Came to me safely packaged in an egg carton. glass jar which i love because of dislike of BPAs and plastics and what not. if you live in a warm climate you probably should get this as you have no idea how hot it might get sitting in a warehouse waiting for transport…

honestly people, coconut oil has a melting temperature of about 24 to 25 degrees, so if you live in a place colder than that NATURALLY it would come to you hard and solid; it is not any fault with the product. in fact, if it does not, then you should have every reason to suspect it. do your research.

Quite dissapointing with respect to which I hoped, given its high price. It seems to me expensive compared to other coconut oils, that have the same or better taste. In addition, inside the bottle (with the solid oil by the temperature of winter) have a great bubble, so approximately 1/3 of the content were only air…!

I have tried several brands of coconut oil. This is not as easy to digest and it has a very greasy texture. Not to mention it does not has a nice fragrance to it and it is impossible to use it for baking as it leaves grease everywhere when the cake was baked. My cake just does not rise when I bake with this. I am switching back to Nutiva. It’s the best oil I had ever tasted and used.

This oil is both delicious and healthy. I like the delicate coconut flavour it gives to everything I use it in. Unrefined coconut oil helps keep me from feeling hungry as often and I actually lost some weight from using it. I like that this one comes in a glass jar rather than plastic. It also moisturises the skin nicely as well.

This product is as good as Artisana Cold-pressed Organic coconut oil. I buy whichever gives the better price during purchase. I have tried several brands from iHerb and many from my local organic stores. None can compare. I eat this raw on rice cakes or use it to cook Asian coconut rice – nasi lemak (1tsp of oil for 1cup of rice, add a pinch of salt and 2-3 screw-pine leaves, also known as pandan leaf). Coconut oil is very stable to heat and suitable for cake making and frying pancakes. Just avoid charring.

The product is great! I love it! After a shower while still damp, rub coconut oil on entire body and blot dry. It is wonderful for dry skin. Also, good to cook with. I usually order more than one at a time. It came shipped from you in perfect condition. Thanks.

I absolutely hate coconut but I wanted to try it anyway because of all the health benefits. I used it for the oil in my chicken and it was seriously the best chicken I’ve ever had. At first I thought it burned really easily and my kitchen smelled like pure coconut (I thought I was going to puke) but it tasted like it was glazed with something sweet.

The product is wonderful and the price is great. I use it in my body (cooking) and externally as well. I’ve dumped all other lotions. My kids smell delicious. The best part about the oil is that it is NOT greasy as one might expect an oil to be. My only gripe is the container it comes in. The mouth is too narrow for my hand to reach in. No worries, I scoop it out with a spoon and lay some on the upturned lid. The other is, that coconut oil ‘freezes’ easily. You must put a little in the palm of your hand and mash down the little globules until your body heat melts it. I enjoy the process. It helps me slow down.

Favorite all-purpose product in my cabinet- from makeup remover to moisturizer, used in cooking or delicious raw, detoxing, skin repair, even the cat gets some… plus a heavenly scent! EVCO is unbeatable.

Fresh taste and smell. Worked really well for home made chocolate.

So far, I have tried Artisana coconut oil, Earth Circle organics and this one.
This one was a dissapointment. It didn’t have the delicious coconut taste that the other two have.
I used it for cooking and that was fine, but if you want to eat coconut oil by itself, I recommend Artisana. It is really the best! Earth Circle organics is ok too, and that is the one I mostly buy because of the price, but Artisana is a winner!

I use this coconut oil on my sensitive skin and it works great at keeping acne away…i don’t use soap any more i just apply this oil on my face with a cotton ball two times once for cleansing and once more just to make sure i got all the dirt off…

Not only one of the best cooking oils, and healthy fats when consumed in it’s unadulterated form, it makes for a wonderful skin lotion and even has sun protection relatively close to a SPF6.

This is some of the best tasting and cleanest coconut oil. Love it!

Lovely oil! I use it to cook and also as an eye cream and eye make-up remover. As a remover, it works like magic! So natural. Smells wonderful. The only thing is that the lid is a bit hard to open each time…But a dry towel solves this problem within seconds. Overall, a great buy!

excellent product. I bought this product primarily for the MCT, but my wife has used it to make a salad drssing and as a skin conditioner.

I have tried at least 5-6 different brands of Coconut oil in the past year and a half. This is the least desireable. It is hard as a rock, and doesn’t have much flavor. And it wasn’t the least expensive. All the others were very much like each other. I was pleased with all of them.

Taste is very good and I prefer glass container.

Product came in a very timely fashion and 100% satisfied, i would reorder and recommend.
