Suggest any woman struggling with hormonal issues avoid mega doses of vit C – it’s a proven aromatase inhibitor and will therefore cause a decrease in estrogen (though obviously that can be advantageous when estrogen is too high). I love having vitamin C and magnesium together. My favorite form of non-acidic vitamin C. Powder is more cost effective than capsules/tablets and is a great way to avoid fillers. Taste is ok.

This is a convenient and economical way to get your vitamin c while simultaneously increasing your magnesium intake. I use a quarter teaspoon every afternoon in my greens drink. I mixes well and I can really feel a difference when I use it.

The taste is a bit sour (it would probably mix nicely with juice for those who find the flavor objectionable).

It appears to be a quality product, but it’s way too acidic – it upsets my stomach even in much lower doses. I’ve also noticed some weird reactions with fruit juice (it formed some grey lumps before dissolving).

The product name is totally misleading, made me believe I was buying a magnesium supplement improved by vitamin C and not the opposite. They should call it buffered vitamin C or something and write magnesium ascorbate on the back label only, with tiny letters – unless this confusion really helps their sales…

I purchased this as an alternative to calcium ascorbate, which I add to mineral water and drink. However, the mag ascorbate tasted very acidic and when tested with a ph strip tested highly acid. I had to add coral calcium to the drink. I would not purchase this again.

i like this. it’s a powder. but i don’t mind. ascorbate is a higher absorption/bioactive than say oxides, carbonates or sulfates (i’ve been told).

I would love to know the rationale and history for combining magnesium and vitamin C in one product. It is truly inspired. I take it for a variety of symptoms and either one or the other(Mg or Vit C) removes them all. It is a very hard product to find at local pharmacies, and I am glad you have it.

I use a mixture of mineral ascorbates along with lysine and proline supplementation per Dr. Mathias Rath’s heart formulation. The Now foods mineral ascorbates are fantastic. The quality and value are top notch.

I feel this is the best source of vitamin C on this website. You get a good amount of C in every dose and it is buffered with magnesium which makes it that much better. I notice that when I take this with my calcium carbonate, it is absorbes really well. Good price too!

Mixes well and tastes ok. If you check the ingredients it’s mostly vitamin C., so I don’t quite
get the labeling. It would benefit the buyer to
have “(Vitamin C.)” somewhere on the label – something
like that. I’m not a professional and I suppose the major component of “Magnesium Ascorbate” is Vitamin C. so it’s not like they did anything wrong.

Ascorbic acid is best buffered either by magnesium or sodium. Sodium is useless, but this does seem to produce strange effect on my nervous system.

I add this to my juice to get the extra vitC and magnesium, tastes great and dissolves well.

Great vit c powder 4 mixing into juices and smoothies,really handy if u have a bad cold or flu and nedd extra vit c.Theres no acidic taste either so it doesnt upset your digestion.

This seems very good. Does what vit C is supposed to do – i.e. gets rid of very early infections in a big dose (3gms) and doesn;t seem different in results to other vitamin Cs. I take it cos the buffered sort is supposed to be better and cos i need Mg.

Earlier I used ascorbic acid which was acidic and had caused me intestinal cramps. now this product is really nice and i could even consume large doses without any issue.

I like the price, and the product has helped me sleep better.
