As for the Travel Essentials, I only have positive things to say about these brushes.
All of the 4 are synthetic and come in a not-so-practical case, but hey, it’s free!!
About the brushes, I’d say that I have tried them with different textures and products and this is how they work for me:
– Detailer brush: I use this brush for concealing only, it states in the box that could be used for lips as well, but it hasn’t worked for me for this purpose. I have used it for small areas of my face that require concealing, such as breakouts, small scars from previous acne; but I wouldn’t recomend it for under eye covering, as it leaves stripes on the application of the concealer and you have to go over it to blend, so it doubles the job.
– Pointed foundation brush, I don’t agree with this, as it is very small to use with foundation. However, it does a great job applying a highlighter or even concealing the under eye area; those are the ways I use this brush.
– Buffing brush: this is my foundation brush, deffinitely!!! I loev how it feels on the sking and the finish it leaves once the foundation, bb cream, tinted moiturizer is applied, no stripes at all are seen and the application is even and I just love it, probably one of my favorites along with the multitask brush of the travel essentials kit.
– Countour Brush: this one is perfect if you want to leave your face with a natural finish after using blush or bronzer, as you work on small areas and it belds the product quite well.

I adore Real techniques brushes – I have them ALL, plus several doubles. They are (or WERE) great quality brushes, cut so precisely, made from soft dense bristles and with lovely handles.I bought a second Core Collection set in May 2013 only to find some brushes with obvious manufacturing faults. I was very surprised and disappointed. Something has clearly gone wrong.

Worse than that has been iHerb’s total failure to address enquiries about it! I was literally told to email someone else (gee, thanks!) then the nominated department ignored the enquiry totally. They simply would not respond about it at all, no matter how many emails I sent. They took my money, sent a faulty product, and apparently just could not care less!

I have to say I am shocked. It’s my first black mark against iHerb. Up until now I have been a great fan of iHerb, recommending them to everyone. Now I am issuing warnings instead!

So far I have ordered most of the Real Techniques brushes , only missing a few. I’ve been using them for a few months and I’ve been impressed with their quality. Samantha Chapman did a very good job here.The bristles are soft but firm, I love the handles, they are not too long but not too short either. They wash really easily with baby shampoo and warm water, I also disinfected them with 99% alcohol (isopropylic alcohol)and they maintained their shape and their softness.

My favorite brush out of this set, is the Buffing Brush. I use it to apply liquid foundation and it became my favorite foundation brush, it made me forget my previous favorite, F80 from Sigma. This brush applies foundation really nice and easy, a few swirls and you’re done, leaving a nice flawless finish. It can also be used for powder or blush, but as I said I prefer to use it for foundation.

My second favorite brush is the Contour brush which I use for contouring my face with bronzer. It’s a nice brush, perfect size to fit right in the cheek bone area, even on the sides of the nose.

The Pointed foundation Brush is too small for my liking and I don’t use it to apply foundation. Instead I use it to apply and blend the concealer under my eyes and around my nostrils. The fact that is pointed is a plus in this case because it provides an easier application in those areas.

The detail brush doesn’t get a lot of use in my case, I bought these brushes for personal use, I’m not a make up artist. But I use this brush to add highlighter in the inner corner of my eyes.

Overall is an amazing set and well worth its price. I’m planning to buy a second set just for the Buffing brush and the Contour brush (which I’m gonna use this time for highlighting)….I really love them and I need to have two of each.

Brushes have good quality and very pleasant tactile feelings. Bristles of taklon is so soft. Brushes are packaged in a quality and handy case. I would like if brush was a bit largest, but it is only one drawback I can see. I recommend it!Очень приятные, качественные кисти. Ворс теклоновый, очень мягкий. I love the entire range of these brushes. I own mostly of them and I think they’re absolutely fantastic and very good value for the price.

Love these brushes. Considering this set is approximately $45 in Australia, this is amazing value. These are fantastically soft – the set is worth buying for the buffing brush alone. I don’t find the other brushes quite as useful, but they’re still a great addition to the set.

Made in China and China test on animals on every cosmetics products, this is a chinese law. And Chinese arent pay enought for their work. So I dont buy anymore this brand.

I have been waiting weeks for these brushes. iHerb are ignoring emails and will not communicate with me, despite the fact I spent $60 on various brushes. I’d advise you to avoid this company like the plague. I will now be taking up claims will DHL and reporting the company to trading standards. Unacceptable.

The bristles keep falling out from the buffing brush. I don’t know if it’s because this item is faulty but it’s really annoying as the bristles keep sticking to my face as I’m applying foundation.

I got a huge taxes/custom charge for these brushes! This made it not very cheap at all! Got charged another £19 British pounds!

It’s a total must-have. Not only they’re cheap, but do an amazing job, compared to other high-end brands and their brushes. The bristles are synthetic, very soft and the apply the product very evenly and smoothly. Recommend.

The color is so bold compare to the picture, and it only said Real Technique by Sam&Nic, not Sam&Nic Chapmant.

The brushes are amazing I livye in Australia and the same pack in priciline is $45 when I found them on here I had to have them this pac has everything that you will need for your face fantastic

These were the first Real Techniques brushes I tried and let me tell you, I wasn’t disappointed! The quality is quite luxurious, the brushes are soft and don’t shed. Easy to wash and quick to dry. Would definitely recommend! Absolutely worth the price.

I LOVE these brushes and are must haves for all those who want a great base of make up; this was the very first set of brushes that I purchased from the Real Techniques Range and would recommend this set first if you are wanting to try out and get an idea of the quality first, once you’re happy and love these brushes as much as I do you’re probably best to get the Real Techniques Starter Set for the eyes, if you’re not that into eye makeup I would suggest skipping to both the Expert Face Brush and Stippling Brush.The Buffing Brush in this set is amazing for giving a flawless finish (LOVE); I use this brush daily for liquid foundation and even great for use with my BB Cream.

When I first opened the parcel I was convinced these brushes were fake so I decided to cross check with the Real Techniques website and facebook page. I can safely say they are real but obviously they have had a makeover – bold shiny copper-orange handle, font change, case change as well as a slight variation in the text on the handle.

I love some brushes of the set and I never use some others :
Detailer brush : Never use it!
Pointed foundation brush : Far too small for foundation, I never use it!
Buffing brush : Love it, one of my favorite brush to apply blush.
Contour brush : Can’t live without this one anymore, gives you a perfect contour!!

This I guess is my last favorite of the Real Techniques sets, I don’t care much for the brushes in general.
The buffing brush is nice for full coverahe foundation, and the contour brush is good. But not MUST-HAVE amazing.
Unless you don’t have a blush brush yet, then this might be a good deal for the price.

This set is ok. Nothing special, and like all of this line the bristles are not soft or pleasant to use. It does look pretty but that’s about it.

Brushes are too small and not soft enough. Foundation brush leaves traces on my face. Would not buy again.

Last time I ordered from you it only took 3 DAYS. Now it’s been 3 WEEKS. And I’m actually starting to get worried.

Como todas las de la marca, son unas brochas buenísimas. A la que menos provecho le estoy sacando es a la pequeñita de corrector…..

Dans ce kit, 2 pinceaux sont absolument géniaux, les 2 autres sont bien, mais je n’en avais pas forcément besoin.
Le “buffing brush” est parfait pour appliquer le fond de teint fluide ou poudre ! Adopté ! Il est PARFAIT !
Le “contour brush”, comme son nom l’indique, est bien pour le contouring, mais je le préfère pour appliquer l’high-lighter
Le pinceau “fond de teint”, peut être pas mal pour l’anti cernes, moi je l’utilise pour poudrer le dessous de l’oeil. Il est trop petit pour le fond de teint. A moins d’avoir 2h devant soi :/
Et le “detailer brush” est bien pour le correcteur ou pour appliquer le fard en coin interne de l’oeil.
La trousse est pratique.
Les pinceaux sont très doux, ne perdent pas leurs poils, et ne souffrent pas des lavages.
100 % satisfaite !

I would recommend this set of brushes for beginners! The brushes are soft and dense (even though not as dense as sigma brushes) but they give an absolute flawless and fantastic finish to your face. I would also recommend the Stippling brush to apply the foundation besides the Buffing brush. The contour brush is great to apply bronzer, blusher as well as to blend the highlighter. The detailing brush is small and good to apply concealer as well as lipstick. The foundation brush is too small to apply foundation because it takes longer time but the brush is really good to blend in the concealer faster.

These brushes are just as good as MAC, they’re very soft and pigmented. I love the flat top brush for putting on my foundation. The only brush I don’t really have a use for is the small flat face brush. It’s too big for concealer, but too small for doing your whole face. Oh well, they are so affordable, I really want to buy the entire line.

I am a huge fan of the Real Techniques brushes. I think the Core Collection in particular is just perfect! It comes with a free panoramic case which is very useful especially if you are on the go. The brushes are made of soft Taklon bristles and really works perfectly for me. I have tried a lot of different brands of makeup brushes, but the Real Techniques Core Collection is a winner!

Las brochas son de muy buena calidad, las he lavado varias veces y no han soltado ni un pelo. Difuminan muy bien el maquillaje, sin embargo no utilizo todas las brochas, con la 1,3 y 4 de la imagen me basta. El estuche puede servir si vas a viajar, pero yo no lo utilizo diariamente. Un plus: son sintéticas!

Real Techniques no doubt makes some of the best affordable makeup brushes on the market. Every brush in this set is very well made with ultra soft cruelty-free bristles. Their aluminium handles feel good in the hand and look pretty too! I especially love the buffing brush and the contour brush! All Real Techniques brushes wash really well with no shredding or bleeding. I highly recommend this set to every makeup lover!

I was looking for a brush set that had everything I needed as a starter kit and I was introduced to real techniques by a beauty blogger on youtube. I use the buffing brush to stipple, buff and just overall blend in my foundation and concealer and it really does a great job. The contour brush is great for blush and contour powders. The foundation brush I mostly use to blend out my eyeshadow and is great for application of concealers as well. The detailer brush, which is the smallest brush is so great for blending out cream highlighters under the eyebrow and concealers in hard to reach areas, like the sides of the nose. Great brush set, great price. Highly recommended.

My best friend bought these brushes to begin with. As soon as i tried them on my face the results were superb! All the brushes in this pack are great but the standout would have to be the buffing brush so smooth for foundation applications.
Would highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a new basic set of brushes.

This brusher ar beyond my expectation as the quality, they are soften than you can imagine. The buffing brush it’s may favorite in all my colection, not just from this kit. I do not like the case because it do not close safty.

I can say nothing but good things about these brushes. They don’t shed. Great quality, escecially for the price! You don’t need to spend more money on brushes when you can buy these and get everything you need. The thing I like the most about this set is that every brush can be used for multiple things.
The contour brush: perfect shape for precise applying of contour and highlight. Soft as well.
Pointed foundation brush: Very small for foundation and actually doesn’t give the most natural finish, but is great for concealer under the eyes, around the mouth and on the forehead.
Detailer brush: Works wonders with plenty things- you can use it as a lip brush, to hide blemishes or to reach precisely the inner corners of the eyes
Buffing brush: My favourite brush. It is very soft and gives a natural finish with applying foundation.It is also great for powder and bronzer if you want to be not so precise and more natural, just kissed by the sun look .
